TO: Members of the Wisconsin Fox River Flyers

Your newly elected Directors are; Gordy Durler, John Werner, Phil Bartelme, and Paul Ziarek. At the last board meeting these Directors elected me President, John Werner Vice President, Gordy Durler Secretary, and Paul Ziarek Treasurer. We also appointed Bob Albert as the new Membership Director and Carl Gollnick will continue as our Operations Officer. Both Carl and Gary Otto will carry on as our Maintenance Officers.

Congratulations to these BOD members!

As your new President, I extend my gratitude to all the previous BOD members for their dedicated service to our club. I personally thank Dave LaFond not only for his guidance of the club this past year but for his direction in the transition. Without their leadership we would not be the best flying club in the area.

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your club President I look forward to this challenge and to working with each of you to continue our club's excellence.

Lastly, please do not hesitate to contact any of your Board members with any ideas for improvement, questions, comments or concerns. It is only through concerted effort that we can move this extraordinary organization into the future.

CLEAR SKIES...

Phil Bartelme

WFRF President

Welcome to the Wisconsin Fox River Flyers website!

As you can see we've made many changes among which are the addition of a Gallery section, a Forum, and a File Repository.

Wisconsin Fox River Flyers is a non-profit/non-stock KUES based Wisconsin corporation whose sole purpose is to provide its members the lowest possible cost flying while providing a social and educational aspect to aircraft use.  It is a well-run organization with a maximum of 15 members per aircraft.

As a WFRF member you get all the benefits of ownership at a fraction of the cost. All you have to do is obey all applicable FARs and fly within the constraints of the Wisconsin Fox River Flyers by-laws, operating rules, and the insurance policy. Members are fully insured and only liable for the insurance deductible. Renters insurance is not required. Members are only responsible for club dues which cover our fixed expenses like hanger, insurance, etc. plus any hours flown. These fees are billed monthly. Refer to the Wisconsin Fox River Flyer rules and by-laws for details on how the group is organized and operated.

We recently moved into a heated hangar just east of the tower. This hangar has a pilot's lounge, office space, and two bathrooms one of which is equipped with a shower. This should be a great place to hold our annual club picnic!

Our fleet of three planes include a 1973 Piper Arrow 200 N56822, a 1976 PA-28-181 Cherokee Archer N9681K and a 1977 Cessna 172N, N124EE. With these three planes, all full IFR, the Wisconsin Fox River Flyers offer its members exceptional latitude in aircraft choices, each offering advantages for the type of flight the member wishes to make - from the C-172 to the Piper Arrow.

The Piper Arrow 200 is equipped with a voice activated 4-place intercom, a panel mounted moving map GPS, autopilot, dual Nav-com, and three blade constant speed propeller. It also has a leather interior for added comfort and recent paint job.

The Cherokee Archer is also full IFR. This plane is equipped with a built-in voice activated 4-place intercom, a panel mounted Garmin moving map GPS, and a single axis autopilot with heading bug. The interior was replaced in 2001 and the engine was replaced with a factory-overhaul in 2003 and a new digital Nav-com was installed in August 2005.

The Cessna 172N that is also full IFR and loaded with nice features including a built-in voice activated 4-place intercom and a yoke mounted Garmin 395 color moving map GPS.

All planes have Tannis heaters for winter flying and our hangar, SCA #6, at KUES is equipped with a bi-fold door and located near runway 28 just down from the tower. We also have a power tug to assist in bringing the planes in and out of the hangar.

Look in the File Repository section of this site for details on joining Wisconsin Fox River Flyers.
